My name is Leinnette Cabrera. I am Venezuelan, an immigrant, and a mother.
I arrived in the United States over ten years ago, like many people: with dreams, uncertainty, and the weight of starting over. I have lived firsthand what it means to build a life far from your country, make difficult decisions, and face immigration processes that are not always clear or simple. I know what it feels like to be in that place. I know the responsibility, the fear, and also the hope.
I am a lawyer by training, having graduated from a Law School in Venezuela. I hold two master's degrees, one in Venezuela and another in the United States, and a Ph.D. in Political Science. For more than ten years I have worked in the immigration field. I had the opportunity to start at a private firm in New York state, and later work in organizations such as Catholic Charities of the Diocese of San Diego (CCDSD) and the Immigration Justice Project (IJP) in California.
Throughout my career, I was accredited on multiple occasions by the Department of Justice to work on cases before the Department of Homeland Security. I also had the privilege of supervising a team of nine paralegals, accompanying complex processes with responsibility, structure, and commitment.
I have worked with thousands of people. I have heard stories that leave a mark. I have seen the fear, the anguish, and the uncertainty... but also the resilience and strength of those who do not give up.
And in the midst of all that, I understood something very clearly: no one should go through an immigration process completely alone.
Human Path is born from that reality. It is born from my own story, from having been there, from having felt what many feel today. But it also stems from my professional experience and the deep desire to continue accompanying people in a responsible, honest, and accessible way.
Therefore, it is important to state clearly: I am not a licensed attorney in the United States and I do not provide legal advice.
My work focuses on what I can do, and doing it well: accompanying you in the process, helping you organize your case, preparing your documents with care and clarity, and giving you structure in a path that often feels overwhelming.
Human Path is accompaniment.
It is order in the midst of chaos.
It is support from experience and from the human side.
If you are going through an immigration process and need support in preparing your documents, I am here to accompany you.
